Biography
Synthwave Collective is the brainchild of producer and multi-instrumentalist Alex Reyes. Inspired by '80s film soundtracks, vintage video games, and retro-futuristic aesthetics, Alex creates instrumental electronic music that evokes both nostalgia and a vision of an alternative future.
What began as a bedroom project in 2020 quickly gained traction online, with several tracks being featured in popular YouTube channels dedicated to synthwave and retrowave music. This exposure caught the attention of AIR MUSIC PH, who signed Synthwave Collective in 2022.
The debut album 'Retrowave' was released in early 2023, featuring collaborations with several vocalists and a visual aesthetic that complements the neon-soaked, nostalgic sound of the music.
